Duties and Responsibilities as per our By-Laws:

 

The Vice President of Special Activities oversees and supervises all sports-related activities and non-skiing activities requiring transportation, whether the transportation is provided by the Club or the members.

In addition, the Vice President of Special Activities is responsible for the scheduling, planning, promotion, budgeting, training of relatedTrip Chairs and Assistant Trip Chairs, and execution of all sports-related non-skiing activities and events sponsored by the Club which require transportation.

    • Hello Fellow Gators!

       

      I am looking forward to seeing you at some of our events and meeting our new members.

       

      Special Activities covers any out of town trips, trips that involve transportation and sports related events.  We have a variety of fun trips and activities on our calendar. We have just added some new and exciting ones for your enjoyment.

       

      We have several exciting major trips on our docket that are mentioned elsewhere in this blast and are posted on our website:

      • Margaritaville/Lake Tahoe on August 17-21, 2025
      • Scandinavia on September 3-12, 2025
      • Mantova, Italy Bike and Barge on September 4-15, 2025
      • Vienna to Budapest Bike and Barge on July 25-31, 2026
      • Budapest to Vienna Bike and Barge on August 1-8, 2026
      • Spain Parador Trip on April 24-May 5, 2026

       

      We have several local Special Activities events that are mentioned elsewhere in this blast and are posted on our website:

      • Pontoon boat event on Sunday, June 22nd in Tequesta where we’ll travel along the Intracoastal Waterway and enjoy partying on the sandbar 
      • Kayaking/paddle boarding event at Blue Pointe Marina on Saturday, June 28th 
      • Tubing trip on the weekend of July 12th at Rainbow River  
      • Kayaking/paddle boarding at MacArthur State Park on Saturday, July 26th 
      • Night fishing event offshore on August 2nd  

       

      We also have some Social events on our calendar:

    • ·         Happy hour this Friday at Double Roads
    • ·         Boat Parade on Saturday, December 6th at Juno Park
    • ·         Holiday Dinner on December 13th at Grande’s Bella Cucina

     

    Please join us at our happy hours.  You can meet other members and make new friends or reconnect with old ones!  I would like to thank Letti Falko, Lorain Lyon and Ben Smith for their ongoing help as Gator Happy Hour Ambassadors. 

     

    As the former VP of Socials, I will continue to plan our happy hours.  If you are interested in serving as VP of Socials, please contact our President, Ed Boatright.

    Hello Fellow Gators!


    I am thrilled to be taking over as VP of Special Activities. I would like to thank Ed Boatright for doing a great job as our former VP and I hope to continue his successful tenure.


    Although I will no longer be VP of Socials, I will continue to plan our happy hours.
